After being partially shaved for an ultrasound and a biopsy, Topaz was looking moth eaten. To create a nicer look, Ellen gave her a modified lion cut leaving her front legs and bib long.
Ellen has been grooming cats since 2007. Her goal is to bring you the joy of a clean, well groomed cat prancing by, showing off their natural beauty. She is currently studying with the National Cat Groomers Institute with the goal of earning her Certified Feline Master Groomer title.
Ellen is both an Elite FFCP (Groomer, Veterinary) (Fear Free Elite Certified Professional) and a Cat Friendly Veterinary Professional. These certifications require training in low stress cat handling. We want your cat to have the best experience possible with the least amount of fear.
Trilling Cat is the only feline exclusive grooming salon in the Triangle. We are conveniently located near the intersection of Hope Valley Road/NC Highway 751 and NC Highway 54 in south Durham, at 5018 Dresden Drive, Durham, NC. Our location provides easy access from Durham, Chapel Hill, Raleigh, and the rest of the triangle. Please visit our Contact Us page for directions.
When we aren't busy grooming, Ellen has two Pet Partners Registered Therapy Cats. Cadi passed her first evalution in 2013. Until the pandemic she regularly visited the residents at Spring Arbor in Durham (now Carolina Reserve of Durham). Vivo passed her first evaluation in 2016 and enjoyed visiting friends at the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Durham. While the Pandemic has forced the girls to stay in, they are still able to visit remotely with the VA.
In addition to their regular visits, both girls enjoy going to UNC-Chapel Hill during exams for exam stress relief, and have been guests at Park Library and the Health Sciences Library. Cadi has also been to camps for children, dog walks, and taught a class at Jordan High School on cat care.
Due to privacy concerns we don't have many pictures that can be posted publicly with their fans, but you can follow the girls at Facebook.com/DurhamTherapyCats. Both cats are very proud of the work they do and always enjoy meeting new people.
